In keeping with Tessitori’s own interests, the Società Indologica intends to initiate two major linguistic and historical inquiries: into Prakrit, Apabhramsha and bardic literatures in Rajasthan, and into Vedic studies and the tradition of recitation in South India. A thorough investigation will also be made of contacts between India and the classical world and, in general, of elements that bear witness to the endurance of the relevant culture relationships down to modern and contemporary times. The projects of research planned in the last years are the following:

* Tessitori and Rajasthan
* Indian Contribution to the Formation of Modern Science

* Europe and India: Past, Present and Future
