ProjectsIn the last few years two major historical inquires have been initiated by the Società Indologica: one into the Indian studies between XIX and XX centuries, with particular reference to Luigi Pio Tessitori fields of research; the other into the Indian contribution to the formation of modern science, including an annotated bibliography and a database. In order to extend the Indo-European co-operation, very active in the fields of physics and mathematics, to the applications of mechanical sciences and computer science, a project co-financed by the European Commission has been coordinated by the Società Indologica from 1999 to 2001.
